reset thermostat after removing from system

I removed the nest from my HVAC system when I upgraded. I want to give the Nest to someone else, but want to remove my info first. I had removed the device from my app, and now I cannot connect to the device using the app because it will not show me a key.

I get an E194 error on the display

How can I reset the info on the Nest without reconnecting it?

Regarding the E194 report on the display, which tells you that there's no power wire detected at all and the challenge of resetting the information without reconnecting, we understand the importance of a smooth transition. I'd suggest advising the next owner to perform an Account Connection reset when installing the thermostat to unlink it to your account and go through the setup process again. This ensures that the new owner can connect it to their app without encountering any issues.
