screen gone blank and will not connect to app

OK. after working fine for years the screen started to just go blank and it will no longer attach to wifi. I checked the power source and battery is fine and above specs. I restarted the unit and it found the wifi but would not connect and then went black again. I then did a factory reset and eventually did the same thing again. If i need to adjust temp i need to pull of base/wall and then wait 2 seconds and reattach. Screen comes right on and says recognizes wiring and then once i adjust screen goes black.
