thermostat not working

thermostat keeps repeating continue setup in google home app

Hi gu2, 

 

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. Let's give these steps a try:
 

  1. Please check that the power from your breaker to your HVAC system is turned on.
  2. Ensure all wires are properly seated to their terminals and buttons are stayed down.
  3. Remove your Nest Thermostat display from its base, then remove the batteries from it for at least 60 seconds, then put them back in.
  4. Look for any available wire report, and please tell us the message code.
  5. Check for any wiring updates on the Google Home app.
    • On the homepage, select your thermostat, then settings.
    • Thermostat > Wiring configuration > Update
  6. Go to your Google Home app to try adding your thermostat again. You can visit this support article for additional information on how to add your thermostat to the Google Home app.
