thermostat will not connect to wifi anymore

Nest thermostat connection to wifi no longer works. I went throught the troubleshooting procedures without success. Running software version 6. something. I get a w5 error when trying to reconnect to wifi which the procedures say to try to update software but I cannot until unit is connected to internet. I have reset the thermostat, reset the router (erro 6 mesh) and checked the connection speeds at the thermostat with my phone. All good. Do I need to take the thermostat off the wall and recharge the batteries? I have a c-wire system so that shouldn't be an issue. Thermostat is only 6 months old and now won't connect. The thermostat is controlling the AC normally but only connectivity seems to be the issue.

I tried the suggestions on restarting the router and thermostat several times with no success. I followed a link to a live human and he immediately authorized a replacement. It came today and now all is good. Connected immediately to the network. Thanks for following up.
