trying to add a temperature sensor to a nest thermometer

installed a nest thermostat in google home. When trying to add a temperature sensor I am told I have to do it in the Nest app. When I try to install it in the Nest app it tells me I must first install a thermostat in the Nest app. When I try to install the thermostat in the Nest app I am told to use the Google app.

When I try to use the QR code for the temperature sensor some unrelated piece of equipment pops up.

Also I cannot find the enter key to enter it into Nest app.

The Nest Temperature Sensor works with the following thermostats:

• Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd generation
• Nest Thermostat E

For the following countries:

• United States
• Canada
• Mexico
