Wiring question for Nest Thermostat

 there is a brown wire in the O/B space.  Will nest still work?  The app needs the o/b wire to be orange or white…

The thermostat has no idea what the color of the wire is.  If the brown colored wires was on O in your old thermostat, it will be the one you put on O/B on the Nest Thermostat.
