I cannot log in to the nest app I setup on android to connect to the thermostat remotely

Are you trying to login using a legacy Nest account or a Google account?

It is a legacy Nest account.  I really do not want to put Nest in my Google account If I can. Thanks for the response.

I tried to reset the password but the rest email do not come to my email.  I am using the correct email I used on the legacy Nest account.  Can you check?

You're not speaking to Google here, Product Experts are volunteers and don't work for Google, so no I'm afraid.

If you're not able to access the account, you'll need to use a new account. reset the thermostat and set it up with the new account unfortunately.

Thanks David.  Do you know how to even reset the account?  I can't get a place to reset it.

Factory reset the thermostat:
Restart or reset a Nest thermostat - Google Nest Help

You selected you have Nest Thermostat (2020) but that isn't setup in the Nest app, that's setup in the Google Home app so requires a Google account for setup (it's never been possible to set those up with a legacy Nest account.)

Assuming you in fact have a Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E:

1. Create a Gmail account - Gmail Help if you don't already have one.
2. Login to the Nest app using that account using the login with Google button.
