12-22-22 google wifi ends support

I just read that some features like adding a  pod with google wifi will no longer work after 12-22-22

So the pods I have not being used are going to be trash?

Google Wifi 1st gen will still be supported, it's the OnHub ones that won't be after that date.

Thank you  olavrb, I have google wifi 1st gen, so my google home app will still be able to work with my 1st gen. I use google home app now anyway?
