Add existing Google nest to Google home app

Hi! I bought a new house that has 3 Google Nest Wi-Fi devices running a “fixed wireless system” internet (boondocks internet with receivers on the roof). The internet company was able to just transfer the account to my name, so there was no setup required.  The problem is, I can’t figure out how to add an up-and-running Google Nest system to the Google Home app and I’ve been advised not to disconnect or restart anything lest it trigger a $200 service call. I want to be able to see my devices’ statuses, update the name of the device and the password. Any ideas?

You can't do a hostile takeover of an existing Nest Wifi network. The person/ Google account used to set it up originally could share his/ her Google Home home with you:

If that's not possible, you must factory reset all the Nest Wifi pucks using the physical button ( https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6246619?hl=en ), then set them up in the Google Home app with your own Google account ( https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9548301?hl=en ).

I don't work for Google.

Thank you! I was afraid of that... I see the wisdom, but it's a bummer when one's intentions are honorable!
