Adding wireless wi-fi point to existing hard wired system.

About 5 years ago, I installed a Nest 3 router system hard wired with CAT 12 cable - ground floor area 1600 sq ft.  Everything worked as intended until I cut the cord and started streaming TV upstairs.  Occasionally, all the TV does is rebuffer so I bought a new Google WI-FI point for upstairs tv thinking I could use it wireless and get a little boost.  However, the only way this new router works is hardwired even.  Router works.  But when placed next to modem and router as wireless add on point, ends up flashing orange.

I had been using the old Nest APP.  Tried new Google Home App to set up new wi-fi point and it only recognizes new router and not the existing 3 routers.  I suspect I don’t know how to use the new APP and/or add old Nest System to it.  Help!

It sounds like you may have set your Wifi network up using the Google Wifi app. You'll need to migrate your network to the Google Home to add new Wifi points.
