All audio through bluetooth

Can all audio from google assistant, via Nest Wi-Fi point, go through a connected bluetooth speaker?   The music will play, but weather, news, etc, still comes from the point.

Hey everyone,

It looks like we've slowed down here. We'll be closing up the thread within the next 24 hours unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hey Nickfpharmd.

The way audio was working after your initial setup is the default behavior. Assistant-related audio, notifications, and timers will play through the point itself, but music and video will play through the connected device. This will be the behavior whether you're using a bluetooth connection or a Chromecast connection. I can see why you would prefer all audio to pass through the speaker, unfortunately at this time there's not an option for that. What I can do is let our internal teams know that this would be a feature you would like to see added to the product. I'll make sure that gets passed along. Let me know if you have any other questions on this.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Nickfpharmd,

Thanks for reaching out. All media playback will play on the external speaker that’s paired with the Google Nest or Home device. Alarms, timers and Google Assistant's responses will play on your Google Nest or Home device. Our team is always looking for ways to improve and we'll take this as feedback.

Thanks,

Edward

Hi Nickfpharmd,

I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help? Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Thanks,

Edward

Hi Ed.  I have not tested this again since I tried to set it up originally.  I'll take another look this weekend and message back then.  Somehow, when i set it up originally, the assistant voice still broadcasted from the point, but the music would play over the connected speaker.  Any idea what I might have done wrong to make that happen?
