Attempting to connect multiple google nest routers

I just moved into a new home and have been having issues with wifi connection that I didn't have in my old house.

Small bit of context, new home is smaller, using the same internet provider and modem/router, and the same plan. (Now rural instead of in town)

In the old house, the modem/router was in the furnace room in the basement. New home the modem/router is in the attached garage.

I bought two Google Nest Wifi Routers to help the issue, but I wonder if I:
- Bought the wrong product for my needs

- Am able to set up an ethernet connection in another room using the system to my PC (does not have wifi connection functionality atm)

- Can connect mutliple nest routers to each other to boost internet in other areas of the home (since I had to plug the first directly into my existing modem/router.

Hi @DShaw,

Thank you for posting in the community. I apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing with your WiFi when trying to connect multiple Google Nest routers after moving to your new home. Don't worry, I'll help you solve this situation.

To understand the situation better and work together to solve it, please let me know:

We have four types of Google WiFi devices: Google WiFi, Nest WiFi router, Nest WiFi point, and Nest WiFi Pro. All the devices are compatible with each other, except for Nest WiFi Pro. The Nest WiFi Pro is only compatible with other Nest WiFi Pro devices. So, if you try to connect a Nest WiFi Pro with another type of device, it won't work. However, if you're not using Nest WiFi Pro, you can connect multiple devices and boost the internet in other areas of your home.

The main Google router always needs to be plugged directly into the modem to create your network. Once the main one is working properly, you can add the other devices to work together and act as points to increase the signal and coverage in your home. If the routers are working, you can connect the devices directly to your PC, and everything will be fine.

Follow these steps to add additional points to your WiFi network, boost the signal, and solve this inconvenience. Please keep me updated.

Best regards,

Lusvin
