I have one gigabyte Internet. I have two smart phones in My Home and usually have one TV running maybe two. Why are they always buffering can’t be using that much bandwidth. I did not have that problem before, then they upgraded to two gig and have been trying to sell me on it.

Hi @Icyhot

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm truly sorry to hear WI-FI is buffering. I'm here to help you!

To provide the most accurate guidance, I'll need some additional information:

  • How far away are the devices from your Wifi point?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting step?
  • Have you contacted your Internet Service provider (ISP) to confirm your service is working properly?
  • Have you tried to run a speed test while connected directly to the modem?
  • Do you use a modem and router combo?

In the meantime, please follow these troubleshooting steps:

  • Run a mesh test to confirm placement of your Wifi points. Try to move your router or point to a more open or unobstructed location and your router or points closer to each other.
  • Restart your network.
  • The internet speed from your provider may be currently slower than expected. Test your internet speeds. If the results are less than you expected, contact your ISP.
  • Run a speed test directly from the modem:  Pleas, connect a computer or laptop directly to the modem and perform a speed test. If possible, connect your old router to the modem and perform a speed test just to compare the speed test results.

Please, keep me posted.

Best regards,

Eitan
