What makes you think you are being hacked?

Some preventive measures would be to change the Wi-Fi passeord if you see devices in the device list you don't recognize:

Beware that devices you don't recognize could also be devices using MAC randomization:

And disable UPnP if you don't need it.

I don't work for Google.

Right now running a newer alien ware laptop and my son has a desktop same. Also I do a lot of plc work and 3d printing

Probably why interested in home automation. So I have and run different 3 and 4 and zero rpis. It seems like they are using the esp32 serial connections on many devices to get in. But when the pointer is moving by itself and programs are opening and closing themselves. Or every time I write a new boot disk I find stuff like fake roots and others on there. So can't even finish any projects like ai robot making for some.

Hi, Natona930.

From the sound of your description, I don't believe the Nest WiFi security settings are set to handle the issues you're having. I would suggest looking into a more robust 3rd party firewall service or network security package. The Nest WiFi can limit what connects directly to your network, but if you're having incursions through already connected devices, that starts to get far more complicated to manage.

Thanks.
