Bricked Google Wifi Puck Model AC-1304

Dears..I recently purchased two AC-1304 Google Wifi Pucks..I managed to connect one to my existing mesh network and couldn't for the life of me connect the second device..I tried resetting to factory settings by pressing the reset button as I connect power to the puck, the device flashes blue without becoming discoverable on the Home App..It continues to flash blue then turns solid blue and still cannot be discovered..

I attempted to flash the firmware through the OnHub extension and continued to experience the same issue..It seems that I have a defective device, unless I am missing something..

Hi Bquraini,

That certainly isn’t the experience we want you to have, and we apologize for the delay. Let me ask some questions to narrow things down:

  1. Are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?
  2. Which Google/Nest router are we working with? Do you have both the OnHub and Google Wifi routers as points?
  3. What device are you using to set up your network (iOS or Android)?
  4. Do you have the Internet from your modem?
  5. Does the Google Wifi point in question broadcast a setup SSID? You can check by going through your phone’s list of Wi-Fi networks.
  6. Did you try setting up your Google Wifi point wirelessly or through a wired connection?
  7. What’s the color of the status lights on the other router and points that were set up successfully?
  8. How far is the point from the main Google Wifi router?
  9. Did you get any messages on the Google Home app during setup?
  10. Do you have any switches on your network?

You may also refer to this helpful guide for more information and troubleshooting steps: Fix your Google Nest Wifi or Google Wifi network.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Dan
