Can I connect 1 google nest wifi router to 2 broadband modems?

Can I connect 1 Google nest wifi router to 2 broadband internet modems? I used RJ-45 cables to connect both broadband modems to my Google nest wifi router (has 2 ports). I disabled the WIFI on both broadband modems and I am using the Google Nest for my WiFi access for all my devices, and it's working great.

My question is: Does the Google nest wifi router utilise both broadband modems for bandwidth (traffic routing) or it's only using one of the modems? in the Home-app WiFi settings it looks like the Google nest wifi router is using only one broadband modem, however, I'm noticing my internet is not lagging as it use to so just wondering if anyone knows. If Google nest wifi router cannot use the second broadband modem then I can cancel my subscription and save my money on the second broadband modem. Please let me know and thank you.

Nest Wifi can only handle one WAN connection.

To be able to utilize two WAN connections you'd have to buy more advanced hardware, and configure it correctly. This is advanced networking, not plug and play.

You may close this thread. I got it all sorted out. Thank you Olavrb, I'm aware of getting additional hardware and doing some fancy networking to utilize 2-WAN connections.

For those who are wondering if Google Nest WiFi router [Software version: 14150.376.32, with two RJ45 ports] can utilize 2-WAN connections (i.e. two broadband internet modems); the answer is "Partially".

Google Nest WiFi has 2-RJ45 poprts. I've plugged in my Broadband-modem#1 into Google-Nest-WiFi port#1, and Modem#2 into Google-Nest-WiFi port#2.

I have analyzed the traffic on my broadband modems and found out that whenever broadband modem#1 times-out, Google-Nest-WiFi re-directs the traffic of select devices to Modem#2 splitting devices on both modems. My laptop and cellphone was going through modem#1 while my wife tablet was going through modem#2.

In conclusion, Google Nest Wifi does not share the 2-WAN connections to have a wider bandwidth, but instead, it does split the devices connected to it and sends some devices on modem#1 and others to Modem#2.

I also noticed this can impact home devices like Google Home-mini and Chromecast briefly when  devices are on 2 different modems (all connected to Google Nest WiFi). All in all, I'm impressed with Google Nest WiFi.
