Can I connect 2 separate ISP to same mesh network

Hi,

So inside my house I have 2 Internet Service Providers.

The reason I have this, is that incase Company "A" Internet Service Provider internet supply does down, I have the other Company "B" Internet Service Provider as other source of internet - is this something that happens regularly as the cables are overground and not underground in my country.

So I have connected Google Wifi Mesh to Company "A" internet service providers (router + 2 points) - and called this network "Home Mesh" and it works great (thank you google).

Now I want to connect another Google Wifi Mesh to to Company "B" internet service provider (router + 2 points) and connect this to the same "Home Mesh" so that I have:

(1) 1 mesh network in my house being supported by 2 separate internet service providers.

(2) So in case Company "A" internet service goes down, the mesh is being supported by Company "B" internet service and vice versa.

Is this possible ?

I want to know this before I purchase another Google Wifi 3 pack.

Thank you

Raza

Google Nest Wifi itself does not support this.

You could probably put a router capable of dual WAN in front of Nest Wifi, but that's an advanced setup requiring some know-how. For instance, Ubiquiti EdgeRouter:

No as you can’t stop nest or google WiFi from being a router, so you’d have two DHCP servers. I run two mesh systems, but you have to run one in AP mode. I have a nest system (nest router connected to three google WiFi points (pack of three), but my second is an Orbi WiFi 6 system with 2.4Ghz radio turned down to 25% power, so I can have a WPA3 WiFi 6 system, but everything that cannot use WPA3 can connect to the nest system. As for running multiple WANS, Thats the tricky bit. I’d use two Draytek modems, one to each connection, which I’d connect to a VPN Gateway router (for load balancing). The connection settings are then entered on the gateway not the modems. The nest system is connected to the gateway on the WAN side and to my switch on the LAN side, so the nest system becomes my main router, and my Orbi system is connected to the switch in AP mode. Works great for us.  It depends on your experience with networking,
