Can't activate the Nest wifi point in order to add it to existing network

I'm trying to add a new Nest Wi-Fi point with Google home app on my Pixel 9 pro xl. It asked me to activate first before adding to the network using some app - that is not supported on my phone. Please help me troubleshooting the issue.

Hi Rutansh,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you’re having trouble adding a new Nest Wifi Point to your Google Home app using your Pixel 9 Pro XL, and it’s telling you to be active before adding to the network using an app that doesn't work on your phone. Let’s work together to find a solution.

This message indicates that you need to download a Utility app on your phone to activate the device when it hasn’t been connected to your network at all.

Currently, this option isn’t available to Pixel phones. Please try setting up the Nest Wifi Point using an alternative device, such as an iPhone or a different Android phone (Not a Pixel), to continue with the set up process.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Byron
