Can the old Google wifi connect to the Nest Wifi Router as a point?

My friend told me that the old google wifi(the one with the reset button align with the LED) can only be the main router because it doesn't have the capability as a point, only the new google wifi(the one with the reset button at the bottom of the device) is capable as a point.

I've upgraded to Nest wifi and i'd like to use the device i found in the attic, so just before I work things out I'd like to ask this first.

As far as I know, All the Google WiFi Devices (new or older ones) Can work as extenders/points of the Nest WiFi Router, And they will create the Mesh Network. You just need to set them up in your WiFi Network.

I suggest you try to add them to your Google Home App.

Hi Michiru,

Marcosl7926 is correct. Both Nest Wifi and Google Wifi are interchangeable. The Nest Wifi points remain as points. The only devices that are not compatible with your Google Wifi, Nest Wifi and points are the Nest Wifi Pro routers.
