Cannot remove Google Wifi Point

The last post with this same title was not solved, yet it was closed.

This is so unbelievably frustrating to see such a fantastic product fail at the 5 yard line like this.

Bought a 4th wifi point to join my 3-pack, the latter which took me, maybe, 10 minutes to set up.

The 4th has been impossible to set up.  As in, it's not on the network after 30 tries.

Here's the salt in the wound:  all 30 of those tries resulted in a 'wifi point' that now lives on my network.   And they can't be removed via the Home app.

- Any suggestions from the community?

- Anyone at Google Wifi monitoring this - is there a fix coming for this?

Factory reset the whole network, set all up from scratch.

I don't work for Google.

First issue amazingly has been solved.  The app suddenly is allowing for deletion of the ghost wifi points.  Thanks to whoever at Google is monitoring and got a fix in.  All 30 of the ghost wifi points have been eliminated.  For the second problem, the inability to add a 4th wifi point to the network, I'll try the traditional approach one last time and then reset the network per the suggestions.  I would provide the screenshots but the design of this chatboard doesn't allow the posting of images, including via reply by the initiator of the message.  😐

Hey, RMS1.

I just wanted to do a quick check in to see if you were able to resolve the issue through performing a reset or if you were still seeing the same issue even after taking those steps. If things still aren't working right, let me know and we'll look deeper into it.

Thanks.

Jeff - thanks for checking in.  Google Wi-Fi needs to add one note to the instructions / troubleshooting:  you must delete the old Google Wi-Fi app from your device first.  You know, that’s on me (it was deep on another page of apps on the iPhone) but, geez, is the kind of thing a thorough team at Google WiFi would have had as a whiteboard item and then would have translated that in to the user boards.  Other than that complaint, a great piece of technology

Hey, RMS1.

Thanks for the feedback on that. I can pass that along to our internal teams as a features request. I can see how it would have definitely helped you out to have had that info.

Thanks.

Hey, all.

I just wanted to do one more follow up here to see if anyone else needed any more help here. If so, give me a shout and we can look at things. Otherwise, we'll be marking this as resolved soon.

Thanks!

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
Thanks
