Google Wifi keeps pausing devices

Every morning I fight with google wifi for a couple of hours in the home app because it randomly pauses 3-6 devices. 

It is always devices that are actively using the internet like my desktop, phone, and some inactive devices like TV's that are off and google homes.

I have roommates, but I don't think they even know how to pause devices in the app, so I assume that they're not doing it.

Even after unpausing, the devices re-pause almost immediately. There is no family wifi schedule set or anything because we are all adults. This is so infuriating I'm about ready to throw the whole system in the trash and switch back to my old router.

Sorry for the issues you're having with devices pausing. I have not seen that issue before, but that sounds like a really frustrating issue. You mentioned that you didn't have any family WiFi set up, but is it possible that there is a Google Assistant routine causing some of this? I do have a few more questions to help us narrow things down.

• If you don't unpause the devices, will they stay unpaused indefinitely?
• Can you tell if it happens at the same time, or is it just happening at some point during the night?
• You mentioned that unpausing it causes it to pause again. How do you ultimately get it to unpause?
• Does this happen consistently, like every night, or is it more random than that?

If you can give me a bit more to look into with a few more details, we can track down what's happening here. I look forward to hearing back from you.

  • Hasn't been happening as of late, but when it did it was only in the morning

  • I just keep unpausing it until it stops pausing. Usually an hour or two after it starts.

  • It was happening every morning for like a week, but hasn't been happening lately.
