My Alexa Echo Dot has lost connection with my Nest thermostat. It used to work perfectly. I've tried several suggestions online, but none have worked yet. The Alexa app cannot find the Nest. I tried creating a Google Fiber Guest account, which according to one Google suggestion would create a 2.4ghz connection, which it said would help devices find each other. This didn't work either. When I checked the status of the Guest account in the app, it said it was a 5.0ghz connection. I'm wondering if this problem happened when I switched to the new mesh fiber wifi. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

It was actually a simple solution. I deleted the skill from Alexa and then created the skill again. It worked great.

Both the main and guest network on Nest wifi use both channels, with the same SSID, you can't set up just the 2.4ghz. I'm surprised either of the devices you're connecting require 2.4ghz to work. If that's definitely the case you might have to set up an old router than can do 2.4 only, use the same wifi name/password and connect them up that way. Or try resetting the dot and/or the thermostat first.
