I'm using nest wifi but can't connect to it with older devices. For example the LG SH6 soundbar.

Hey, Pi.

Sorry for the issues you're having getting devices connected to the network. I'm sure that's frustrating to deal with. You mentioned your soundbar. Are you trying to connect this via bluetooth or WiFi?  Are all the devices you're looking to connect connecting via WiFi?

If you can give me a few more details about what you're seeing when devices won't connect, we can get this sorted out.

Thanks.

Hi, Pi.

Are you referring to a WiFi or a bluetooth connection? Are you seeing any error messages, or is it just simply failing to connect?

Thanks.

WiFi. No error. Just failing to connect

Hey, Pi.
As an update for you, I wanted to let you know that we have a firmware update coming out now. Some people may have already received the update, but most will see it coming still. Everyone will have it before the end of April. If you receive that update and don't see an improvement in your issues here, please let me know and we can keep looking into things.
Thanks.

How do I recognize the update?

Hi, Pi.

Here's how you check the firmware version.

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Scroll down to view your software version.

You're looking for 14150.43.80 for the newest release. If you're seeing a different version number, you're still waiting for the update to arrive.

Thanks!

Hi, Pi.

There was one more added update that rolled out to fix a few more small issues. Have you seen any changes in your situation over the last few days?
