I am attempting to setup Google Nest mesh routers and access points connecting to a Viasat modem. The setup prompts indicate "cannot reach the cloud try again later". I have attempted the following:
1. Verified the ethernet connection from the Viasat modem/router works (tested by connecting via ethernet from modem to my computer. Was able to reach internet sites successfully)
2. Rebooted the Viasat modem.
3. Rebooted the Nest router.
4. Attempted setting up the access points before setting up Nest router..... the setup routine prompted me to setup the Nest router first.
All attempts result in the 'cannot reach cloud' error.
Internet speed is 9mb down and .5 up.
I would welcome any advise.
Thanks!!!

Hi Edward, Sorry for my slow response... I missed your comment....
The light on the router is glowing and I think it is broadcasting the setup SSID.
The router is in our vacation home, I plan to be there next week and should be able to do some additional troubleshooting.
One change.....Subsequent to posting my initial post we learned that fiber based internet service is available to our home (vs. ViaSat). I plan to have fiber installed June 1 and will attempt to configure the Nest router connecting to the fiber modem. I'll provide an update on my progress. Thanks much

Hi Rig,
Sorry for the late response. How's it going? Were you able to set up your Google Wifi to a new ISP?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Edward
