Connecting Mesh Router Direct to NBN (FTTP)

LukeM1

I have NBN to the premises (as in I have the direct NBN box in my pantry).  Can I connect this directly to the google router without having to pass through a modem ?  I have heard this can be done - but it doesn't seem to work.

No, it's a router only, not a modem, you need to plug it into the black (usually Arris brand) NBN-supplied modem. You can find some more info here: https://www.letsbemates.com.au/mate/faq/do-i-need-an-nbn-compatible-modemrouter/
