Hi,
Can anyone help with setting up the google pro wifi nest with the new NBN FTTP. I was told i didn't need a separate modem as the nbn box serves as one and that i could just connect the nest router directly to the nbn box.
I have tried that as well as using a separate modem as well and neither will recognise the router. It just keeps asking me to turn them off and start again over and over again.
The internet works through the normal modem router but the nest won't connect at all.
Q1. Do i need to keep using the old modem/router or can I just connect the router into the nbn box?
Q2. How can I get the nest to connect?
Q3. Are there special requirements for the modem, home account or anything else that I'm missing?
Please HELP!!!!

Hi PK1010,
Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand you're looking to connect your Nest WiFi Pro to your new NBN FTTP box, and you want to know if it can function as a modem. Let's work together to find a solution.
To answer your questions:
Yes, you'll need a modem to connect your Nest WiFi Pro. The NBN box handles the fiber connection, but it doesn't function as a traditional modem for your router. You can either use your old modem or get a new one.
Here are the requirements to connect your Nest Wifi Pro router:
A Nest Wifi Pro router.
A Google Account.
You'll need a compatible mobile device, Android or iOS.
The latest version of the Google Home app is available on Android or iOS.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
