Constant buffering. What the heck...

Anyone know how to stop constant buffering when streaming?  I have resolved the issue with weak connection by disabling my other wifi network's 5g.

Using an Nvidia Shield.  When connected using the Nest wifi TV shows are constantly freaking buffering.  The wifi point is only about 8' from the darned Nvidia shield.

Switch back to my old wifi which is 20' away and zero issues.

This nest system is turning into a really terrible investment.  Such potential but constant faffing around with silly connection issues.

I have also tried using the priority system making the Nvidia Shield top dog with everything else off but still buffering.  It's a complete joke.

It's also impacting my kids Samsung tablets and other devices.

Surely this product should not be constantly causing so many issues.  Lordy, any insights would be highly appreciated l before I dump this pile of trash nest system in the trash.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your internet speed using your Google Nest mesh network. I see that you've already tried some steps to resolve this. I'd like to know more about this to isolate the issue further:

  • How often does this issue occur? Does this happen continuously or intermittently?
  • Which access points are affected?
  • Were there any recent changes on your network setup?
  • How many devices are actively using the internet at one time?
  • Is the customer using a modem and router combo?
  • Is Google WiFi the only device connected directly to the modem?
  • Is there a switch located on the network?
