Ethernet to Wifi comparable adapters

Does anyone have a recommendation for a compatible Ethernet to wifi adapter to use with the Google Nest system? My Neat Point doesn’t have an Ethernet connector. IOGear is not working (dropping signal consistently) and they report their products are not comparable with Google Nest at this point. Any help is appreciated. I’m trying to make my Denon receiver wifi accessible through its Ethernet port so I can drive music to outside speakers.

I use a 2nd Nest Wifi router for this, and a Google Wifi would work too, but not the Nest Wifi add-on point as it has no ethernet ports.

Any Asus router in media bridge mode would do too, try to match Wi-Fi specs (802.11ac / Wi-Fi 5).

I don't work for Google.

Being a newbie to Google wifi systems, what product(s) are you pointing me too exactly. The adapter (that didn’t work) was $40. Is this suggestion going to cost me more. So, I have a Denon receiver connected to outside speakers that I want to access via my phone and all the various music streaming services. Worked great for 10 years with NetGear system.

I was talking about these:

You can use the ethernet port of any "Nest Wifi router" or "Google Wifi" to get ethernet connectivity.

You can also add an unmanaged switch if you need more ethernet ports:

Whether you can use what you already have, or need more Nest Wifi pucks, I don't know.

For Asus routers that can be set to "media bridge" mode, which would be Wi-Fi to ethernet adapter, you have a lot of models that would work for that. Maybe get something used if you go down this path, like an Asus RT-AC68U.

What adapter did you get that does not work?

I don't work for Google.

The IOGear adapter that I’ve used for years and now drops consistently since adding my Google wifi system is model GWU027. I recently purchased the newer model GWU037 and I can’t even set it up and get a connection. I called IOGear and they immediately said their product isn’t compatible with the Google router system, but they are months away from a solution or new product. I called Google Nest support and they had no recommendations other than to read reviews of other Ethernet to WIFI adapters to see if problems exist with that product. Seems like there should be an easier and inexpensive solution.

You mean GWU637?

Well, you got a lot of options now. The easiest is to use one of the ethernet ports of an existing or a new Nest Wifi puck. Or:

  • Buy a router, "access point" or "range extender" that can be used as a Wi-Fi to ethernet adapter, also known as "media bridge" or "client mode". Should support 5ghz, WPA2 and Wi-Fi 5/ 802.11ac. And buy from a reputable brand (Asus, Netgear, TP-Link, Zyxel), I've never heard of "IOGear".
  • One more option is ethernet over COAX (MoCA) or powerline adapters.

Also found this resource about using 3rd party range extenders, might be useful:
