Extending a Nest Wifi Mesh with a wired connection

Hi, 

I already have a Nest Wifi router and nest point (the one with the speaker). But the point is too far from the router and basically I need something in between. So two questions:

1. Can I get a new nest wifi router and add it as a point to the existing mesh?

2. Can I connect that new nest wifi router with the main router via a cable (cat6) and still have it part of the same wifi setup? that would avoid using wireless between the points and should hopefully improve the connectivity. 

Any other thoughts?

I just want to add one clarification – yes, you can add a wired Nest WiFi Router (or a cheaper Google WiFi unit) to your existing Nest WiFi network to expand the coverage area. However, it will not be extending the mesh network itself. Meaning, a distant wireless Nest WiFi Point unit will not connect through the new wired secondary Nest WiFi Router. But, having the new wired secondary may provide enough coverage to clients in that area that the Nest WiFi Point unit is no longer needed.

Thank you both. I ended up not wiring, and the new router is setup as a point in between, I am still a bit puzzled as to why some devices stays on the original point instead of the new router, but it is overall far more reliable. I think the initial point is connected to the new router/point, but I can't find a way to confirm other than, well, it works way better than before.
