Flashing orange light on Nest Wi-Fi Pro

I have a situation where I have an Orange flashing light on my Nest Wi-Fi Pro for roughtly 30 seconds, this frezees all internet, wired and wi-fi. The modem, the Pro is connected to, is still conected during this period. I have had the same modem and router set-up since I bought the Wi-Fi Pro in 2022.

I have recently done a factory reset to see if this would help but this bug/error is still happening.

Is there a fix for this issue, because it is really becoming a problem and I may end up switching to the Cable providers modem and selling the Pro because it isn't doing what i need it to do! 😞

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Google Nest Wifi Pro router is flashing an orange light and completely freezing your internet, which is certainly not the experience you expected. I'm happy to assist you.

Since you mentioned you've already factory reset your Google Nest Wifi Pro router, I need to confirm if you properly reset it by first removing it from the Google Home app and then using the reset button on the bottom of the router as indicated below:

  1. To factory reset your device with the Google Home app, just follow the steps in the article Factory reset your Wifi device.
  2. To perform a factory reset on your Google Nest Wifi Pro router using the reset button located on the bottom of the device, just follow the next steps:
    • Press and hold the reset button for 12 seconds. The light will flash yellow, then turn solid yellow. When the light is solid yellow, release the button.
    • The reset process will start, which can take up to five minutes. Do not unplug the power cable during this process.
    • When the factory reset is complete, the light on your router will flash white, then blue to indicate that the device is ready for setup.
  3. After resetting your Google Nest Wifi Pro router as indicated above, you can continue setting up the device in the Google Home app as indicated in the article Set up Nest Wifi Pro or Nest Wifi.
