I want to connect the ont directly to my Google mesh, bypassing their modem, which is limiting our 700 up 700 down to 400 down and 20 up.

Hi kilo12v8,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you tell us more about this? Are you trying to connect your Google Wifi to your Frontier ONT? You could also check this other thread about Frontier ONT and the Google Wifi.

I made the mistake of trying to send you a message earlier via email. The one thread that you sent me it doesn't work they're telling me that they need to have that Arris as a "gateway", I work in fiber to the home industry, yes we use the same type of gateway but it does not throttle like this modem is doing, that's why I'm trying to figure out a way to bypass their garbage

Hi kilo12v8,

Thanks for the response. I'd love to know more about this. Could you tell us what's happening if you try to setup your Google Wifi while directly plugged in to your ONT? Are you getting messages?

Thanks,

Edward

I really haven't had a chance to do anything, we just got a new gateway modem whatever they want to call it. There is allegedly a wireless packet loss coming from that thing which is why they replaced it. So I haven't been able to check anything yet because have to keep everything on since we are a business and  open 6 days a week

I'm going to shoot for Thursday, that is the day that I am off and the shop is closed.  First order of business is to hook it up to the mesh straight to the ONT and see what happens and I will report on that

Hi kilo12v8,

We just want to check if you have seen our response posted above. Let us know if you have additional questions, otherwise we'll be locking the thread.

Best,

Princess

Why does everyone want to keep locking this thread? Not being a jerk but I am I have other things  I need to do that this takes a back seat too. I just switched out the modem and last Thursday I did not get a chance to do anything because I had the booster and the flu shot the night before and did not get out of bed. Sometimes it takes me a week or two. I am going to attempt to push Thursday since I am not working any of my three jobs, to connect the ONT directly to the mesh.  If you guys want to lock the thread by all means go ahead and lock the thread. I will seek help elsewhere if necessary.
