I don't even know where else to start!
I am an advanced user but even I have found the UX to be very difficult, not intuitive and embarrassing to use. I dont even know how the average user can properly exercise parental controls. Google please overhaul the user experience and stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Other routers have had much better success with scheduling. It could be much simpler. See examples from Linksys or DDWRT implementations and take a page from their playbook, please!
Its getting really frustrating because I need to implement multiple schedules just to allow usage between a certain time frame. Please give Family WIFI feature more attention and priority because the feature is awful. Its like it requires an architect to create a simple schedule. Make it easier to use.
Suggestion: A small change of adding an option to the schedule to allow/disallow wifi for a schedule will go a long way in improving the feature while making it more intuitive. That way some schedules could be to allow wifi during a certain time while others may be to block wifi during a certain time.
Not just turn wifi off during these hours. As simple as your implementation seems, its confusing for the average user. So much so that I am sure people don't go through the pain of using it. I have kids and its a lot of effort to use it that I cannot even recommend it.

There is also the case that parental control doesn't really work because of MAC randomization. Some earlier threads about it:
