Google Home App iOS15

In Google Home App for iOS I cannot access the settings (gear icon) for my WiFi network, nor run speed tests, or test the mesh, anymore. I reviewed previous questions and solutions, which all direct users to their settings (gear icon) to make changes that might resolve the issue. I cannot get into my settings at all.

Okay, I ended up resolving the issue, by deleting the entire Google Wifi system from the home app, and basically reinstalled the system from the beginning.

Do you know if you recently updated the Google Home app?  There's a new version being rolled out at the moment, so I'm wondering if you might have received this and it's causing your issues.  If so I'd suggest contacting support to let them know: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

I have the current iOS15 app update 2.48.106, so I could reach out to Google support directly for help.

Hi folks,

@Juzdu, thanks for the help!

@rockerroxy and Erowhon, I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with accessing your Wi-Fi settings on your Google Home app. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

  • What's the light status of your Google Wi-Fi router?
  • Does your Google Wi-Fi appear offline in the Google Home app?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Edward

The Google Router light is white, as are all the attached Google mesh extenders (2)

The Google Wifi shows as online in the app, I just can't access settings, or conduct routine checks, such as mesh tests, or speed tests.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
Thanks

Thanks Edward for your reply. I was able to resolve my issue by reading previous solutions from other specialist.

 I have the same problem on my android. Speed test says I don't have an internet connection (which I do) and the mesh test also says I don't have an internet connection.
