I run a network of 25 devices of which 4 devices are on wifi. It was 6 but I've had constant issues with iOS devices (an iPad air latest version and an iPhone 12)   that show as connected  but will not browse the internet. No other device has this issue.

I run a very standard setup with originally 3 and now 4 nodes over a two story house. The iOS devices experience the issue regardless of the node they are connected to.

DNS is auto (8.8.8.8) and ip is out of the box. I have proven its a google issue  as I've setup a unifi ap to connect the ios devices too and  they have run for 12 weeks without a single repeat of the issue.

I've tried turning off private ip in ios and every othertrick. Its not an apple issue

Hey there Tony Holdgate,
I'm sorry for the late response, but I wanted to hop in here to help. I understand wifi issues can be a pain to deal with, but I'm happy to take a look into this.

I appreciate you telling me something's that you've done to try to figure it out, but I just have a couple questions if you don't mind.

  • What troubleshooting steps have you taken with the router or Google Nest devices?
  • Have you tried doing a factory reset of the entire network?
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns as I'm happy to help. I look forward to hearing from you.
