I have connected my nest as per the instructions and when it is connected my air print does not work. When I turn off the nest the air print works. I have other google devices connected such as hubs and mini but they do not affect air print. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem.

Hi RJones260146,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with using your Airprint. It's possible that your device isn't detecting your printer within the network. I would suggest checking if your printer is already connected to your Google WiFi.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Edward

I am still having problems, I disconnect the nest and the air print works, I connected the nest as per the Google instructions to my router with my modem (Optus Sagemcom Gateway F@ST 3864V3 HP). All works OK such as using my IOS devices near the other nests except for air print. I have read that I may need to set up my initial router as a bridge??? I can send photos of the connection from NBN box to Optus device to nest router if required. All I want is to air print with no problems as others in my family want to air print but get upset when you have to disconnect the nest hub to air print. By the way I can print from my iMac with the nest hub connected.

Hey, RJones260146.
As an update for you, I wanted to let you know that we have a firmware update coming out now. Some people may have already received the update, but most will see it coming still. Everyone will have it before the end of April. If you receive that update and don't see an improvement in your issues here, please let me know and we can keep looking into things.
Thanks.

Hey, RJones260146.
The update version for both Google WiFi and Nest WiFi will be 14150.43.80. If you are seeing a different version number when you check in Google Home, you have yet to receive the updated firmware. Let me know if you have any questions about that.
Thanks.

I checked the other day but the version was not 14150.43.80
I tried to check this morning but for some reason I cannot get to the location to check the version. Can you assist me please. I have checked to see if I can air print from all our IOS devices but it cannot find air printer.

I have the exact same problem - named them different - when I connect to Google Wifi it finds nothing - all the other routers can see it.

God I miss apple routers!!

Yes, this has become ridiculous. I have spent 4 days trying to reset up something that worked seemlessly with ASUS, and fine with Motorola, which is a google company. I need to buy a whole new printer as none of the 500 suggestions online work.

I am having a similar issue.

Hi Kirkoid,
Is your printer and phone connected to the same network?
Best,
Mel

Yes it is. My PC can find it without a problem.

Hello Kirkoid,
To confirm, what's the brand and the model of your printer? Also, are you trying to AirPrint? I'll wait for your update.

Hi Kirkoid,
Give these steps a whirl:
Factory reset your printer to ensure that it’s not connected to any Wi-Fi network. Then, create a hotspot with a mobile phone. However, 2 mobile phones are required:
Use the first device to create a hotspot (mobile phone).
How to set up a mobile hotspot:
Android
Go to Settings.
Tap the Network & internet option.
Select Hotspot & tethering.
Tap on Wi-Fi hotspot.
Set up the hotspot name and password the same as the primary network.
Choose the AP Band > 2.4 GHz band > Apply.
iOS:
Go to Settings.
Tap on Cellular. Tap the slider to turn Cellular Data on.
Under Cellular, tap the slider to turn Personal Hotspot on.
Tap the slider next to Allow Others to Join.
Set up the hotspot name password the same as the primary network.
To change the hotspot password, under Personal Hotspot Wi-Fi Password.
To change the hotspot name, go to Settings > General > About > Name.
Use the second device to connect to the mobile hotspot.
Disconnect all of the Google Wifi or Nest Wifi points from the power outlet.
Connect the device to the 2.4 GHz band of the hotspot with the same SSID and password of the current network (case sensitive).
Once connected to the hotspot, plug in your primary Google Wifi point or the Nest Wifi router.
Turn off the hotspot and check if the device automatically connects to the Google Wifi network.
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Abi
