Google Nest - unable to complete setup of access point

Hi,

Coming from a Google wifi setup I now made the switch to Nest.

Router & 3 Google wifi points are up and running.

However, I can’t complete the setup of the 1 Nest point I have.

Home app connects to it but the final stage of the setup gives a time out error.

Home app on iphone 11/ipad.

Thanks for help.

How do you disable ipv6 in the HomeApp

On the app home screen, top right corner setting ‘cartwheel’, scroll down to ‘Advanced Networking’. There you’ll find the button (if you also have google wifi points these will go offline by deactivating ipv6 but once you installed Nest just flip it back on and all good).

Hi everyone,

@PhenixS1970, I'm glad that you were able to complete the setup on your Google Nest Wifi, and thanks for sharing the step that fixed your issue.

@JohnS2, were you able to disable your IPv6 in the Home app?

Thanks,

Mel
