Google Router Node unresponsive

One of the 4 nodes on my Google mesh network is not responding.   Its indicator lights are showing a solid blue but the Home App does not recognize the node.    I have tried powering down and rebooting and I tried to do a reset but I'm not sure I know how to do that.   There is a button on the back that I held down for more than 8 seconds and there was some activity on the lights but I don't know what that means.   Maybe it is just faulty but if there were a way to resurrect it that would be nice.

Hi Thortheunruly,

I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. Let’s further look into it. A solid blue light on Google Wifi means a factory reset is in progress. Just to confirm, the reset button you saw is at the back, in line with the LED, correct? If yes, follow the steps below to do a manual factory reset.

  1. Unplug the Google Wifi point from the power source.
  2. Press and hold down the factory reset button. While the button is held down, plug the power cable back in. Continue to press the button until the Google Wifi point's LED flashes white, then blue. Once it flashes blue, release the button.
  3. The point will continue to flash blue for about 45 seconds, then turn solid blue. The factory reset can take up to 10 minutes.
  4. Once complete, the light turns from solid blue to pulsing blue to indicate it's ready for setup.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Alex
