I have a new Sony Bravia tv. Checked data usage on the google Wi-Fi, it showed the tv was doing multiple 40-60 gb downloads per day, often while the tv was off. Sony says the tv does not use internet while it is off.
i turned on family Wi-Fi on the router, then paused the group containing the tv. Checked the tv by trying to run Netflix, it does not work. So pause appears to works.
checked stats on router this morning, it showed 60gb download in the middle of the night. Confirmed pause was still on and Netflix still does not work.
what is going on here? Is Wi-Fi pause broken or is usage stats broken?
