Google WiFi as Single roaming WAP

RichYou99

Hi,

Used my 4 Google wifi as mesh for number of years. Just had house work done and put in some cat 6 cable to various points which will be connected via a switch to internet feed.

Can the Google wifi utilise the wired network to build the mesh while offering the same wireless access? Anything I need to configure or will the wifi points use ethernet first to search for other units?

Thx

Yup, it's known as wired backhaul. If connected correctly, the backhaul will jump over to ethernet/wire.

I don't work for Google.
