Google WiFi hub stuck on flashing blue during reset

I tried to do a factory reset of a Google WiFi point. Followed the procedure:

https://support.google.com/googlenest/troubleshooter/13816290?hl=en&visit_id=638355526292145451-2769...

  1. Unplug your point from the power source.
  2. Press, then hold the factory reset button on the device. While holding down the button, plug the power cable back in. Continue pressing the button for about 10 seconds. Your point will flash white, then blue. When it flashes blue, you can release the button.
  3. The point will continue flashing blue for about 45 seconds, then turn solid blue. This process can take up to 10 minutes.
  4. Wait up to 10 minutes for the device to fully reset.
  5. Once complete, your point will pulse blue to indicate it's ready for setup.

And it got stuck on point 3, i.e. the WiFi hub flashes blue and doesn’t change to solid blue. Tried numerous times, always the same result
