Google mesh router and 1 point

Hi alll,

I moved to a new house that has never had NBN before. Through my ISP I have obtained the NBN box and connected it to the phone port and also to the Google mesh router.

 

I have tried to set it up multiple times, it recognises the router, however says that the modem isn't giving the wifi point and internet connection. I have done a full network restart three times to no avail. I have also tried entering the network settings that the ISP gave me. 

 

I was told I didn't have to have a standard router and could use the Google mesh router standalone. 

 

Any help would be appreciated

Hi sgj81,

 

Sorry for the issues you're having getting the Google WiFi network set up at your home. You're correct that generally you just need to plug the Google WiFi router directly into the modem. Beyond an Internet connection and a modem, no other hardware is required. I have a couple of help articles for you to reference and see if you can find what's holding things up for you in your setup process.

After checking out the suggestions in the articles, see if you can get things working for yourself. If you're still stuck, please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.

Hi Jeff,

 

I did see your reply. I have tried to do the options you shared multiple times to no avail. I was speaking to someone online from google also but was cut off from them when trying to connect to wifi from my phone. I’ll try that again as they were able to go onto my google home account
