Google wifi access point not discoverable

We had a power outage and when it came back on, my google wifi network did not come back up.  I was able to reset the primary google wifi router.  However, the wifi point did not come back.  I completed a factory reset, and it is not discoverable from the Home app.  It is flashing blue.  Any suggestions?

Hello @Jbw

Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community. Apologize for all the inconvenience with your Google WiFi power, dont worry im happy to help you with that.

Certainly this is not normal behavior on this device; however, we will find a solution for this situation.

The flashing blue light on your device means it is ready to setup; probability after the factory resets the device erases all your account information and will be necessary to set up again. You can go to this page to follow this process: Set up Google Wifi.

If you have an error during this step, try to connect your Google WiFi to another power source. In case you do not respond, feel free to keep us posting with more details, and definitely we will find a solution for you.

Don't hesitate to keep us posting.

Best regards,

Douglas.

Hi @SoriaD_

I think that the fast flashing blue light was not an indication of "ready yo setup".  The next day, I unplugged the device and connected my laptop to the internet port.  I powered it up and tried to access the device by entering IP Address 192.168.86.1 .  The browser on my laptio indicated that I would need to install the Google Home app.  Then for some unknown reason the blue light started a slow pulsing.  The Google puck was now ready to setup.  All is good now. However, it was frustrating to work on the Google AP for hours and then the next day magic happened.
