Hey there, I've been using Google wifi for the last 4 years with no issues, until a few weeks ago when all the sudden my network has been throttled to below 100mbps downloading(sometimes as low as 30-40). I know it's an issue as well because the link light on my Surfboard SB6141 is blinking amber, meaning the google wifi router is only connecting at 100Base-T (max 100mbps). However when I connect my PC directly to the modem via ethernet, my speeds range from 180-220ish, (I pay for 250 down). I used to get these speeds off the wifi no problem until a few weeks ago.
I have my google wifi router connected to the modem on a Cat6 cable, I've swapped cables several times, I've factory reset the router and the network, nothing is working. This is driving me nuts, it's making it hard to even work from home at this point at times when the speed drops. Please help!

Same issue as this one:
I'll escalate this thread.

Thanks for linking to this - I hadn't thought to try 5e I just had swapped out multiple cat6 cables to see if that would fix it. I tried one 5e, no luck, but then I pulled out the strange, flat cable that I remember originally came with the Google wifi and that has worked! Now I'm getting about 220 down.
Still very strange though, I was having no problems with cat6 cables until just a few weeks ago. Not sure what the issue is.

That's strange indeed, that only the noodle cable gave gigabit speeds. I run CAT6a shielded both from my modem to my primary puck, from primary puck to my unmanaged Netgear GS108 switch, and from it to several devices. All get gigabit still. Nest Wifi router. So it does not seem to affect all.
