How do I know if Google AP supports 802.11mc?

Hello all 🙂

I would like to set up a mesh of few APs for indoor positioning of an Android device utilizing 802.11mc standart. I don't know if the AP supports the standart. I found this link: https://developer.android.com/develop/connectivity/wifi/wifi-rtt#supported-devices. It is said there that all Google devices are able to handle 802.11mc standart. But I wanted to make myself sure by looking to official datasheets/catalog of the devices. But I found none. Could you help me please?

Kind regards

Ladik

Hello @Ladik

It doesn't appear on the public specifications page, but you can see it mentioned in firmware release note history here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13800967 (open up the "Previous release notes" section, and then the "June 2020" section describing 12871.57.12 where it includes "Improved indoor location (802.11mc)"). I know others have used both Google WiFi and Nest WiFi systems for 802.11mc in the past as well.
