Many others have posted with similar questions but I've been surprised to not find a clear answer to my problem. I'm trying to help a friend with an intermittent, but frequently occurring issue where many (all?) devices in the home lose internet connectivity and need to be reconnected or rebooted.
They have a Google Wi-Fi setup that's been working fine for some time. Looking at it remotely, all appears ok too. Notifications of lost connection are enabled but never triggered.
I suspect the issue is with the ISP as they've been working on the wiring in the neighborhood. But in typical fashion, ISP insists all is well, and given the intermittent nature of the problem, difficult to trace.
Are there any good apps or monitoring programs that could monitor the ISP connection, capture data when there is an issue, and trigger a notification?
Thanks

Nest Wifi has no such functionality, so this isn't really a Nest Wifi question. More a general question on how to monitor the internet connectivity.
The easiest will be to run something on a device thats powered on 24/7, which frequenly pings or in other ways connects to the internet, and logs when it fails.
