Interpreting the wifi test

I have Gen 1 Google Wifi.  I have high speed internet  264 Mbps down by computer and 238 Mbps down in the family room.  I have a chromecast streaming connection on both tvs.  I ran the wifi test with the following results.  TV by computer has chromecast speed 381Mbps and the tv has 25 Mbps.  The family room tv is 2yr old sony and it has an 8Mbps reading and it's chromecast reading is 7Mbps.  Picture quality is lower than normal for a 4K tv, ordinarily very good.  Is the fault google wifi, chromecast, and/or TV.  How do I test?

Lots of factors to consider here, but the reality is if your looking at wifi speeds on your Chromecast in the living room, it could be low signal .  Is it far from the router, are there many devices nearby, what generation Chromecast is it ?

Another good test is , do a speed test on your phone or laptop right near the tv in the living room and see what kind of result you get.  If it's also slow , then I would suspect it's weak wifi signal.

Not sure of generation # for chromecast, purchased less than three months ago from best buy.  The only other wifi device in that room would be my wife's cell phone.  Family room tv is about 40 ft away and up one floor from the router.  Wifi reading is good (238 down last night, 264 down this morning) and mesh test says (okay).  I wanted to change out the puck and see if that made a difference but my cell phone will not run the google home app...  They took away my ability to add a piece of equipment or at least switch it out...

Hi, the speed test in the family room was right next to the wifi puck, 238 Mbps down.  The wifi puck is 12 inches below the tv and behind the tv.  Chromecast is 18" directly above the puck.  Wifi signal is good, gotta be something with the chromecast unit on the family tv or the tv itself.

Move your router.  Having a wifi router that close to media components can actually slow down your wifi signal, and being too close can cause am overpowered signal which allows it down as well.  5 feet away is preferable
