Mesh network

In the last few days, one by one my access points have started flashing an orange light. Home app says my network is online but one or more access points are offline. I've reset (and factory reset one of them multiple times) all of them, including the base (hardwired) unit. I've reset "cloud services" via the app. After repeated tries, I've got ONE of the access points with a solid white light again, but one is still flashing orange and I'm unable to add the one I factory reset back to my network (mesh connection issue). Even with flashing orange lights on all access points, it seems most, if not all, of my home devices remain connected to the internet.

I've seen multiple post regarding some version of this from many others but haven't seen a fix.

Hi JimM2012,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Google Wifi devices. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

  • How many Google Wifi devices do you have?
  • Are the WiFi points showing as offline in the app?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Edward

Hello, I got on chat with support and they helped me fix the issue. The access points (3 of them) weren't getting an IP from the base unit. I connected them via ethernet and they synced up.

To answer your questions tho: 4 units as noted above. The APs were showing as online, but c/n connect via mesh. I reset all of them, factory reset one of them as well, but they still w/n connect via mesh.

Thanx for looking into it.

Actually, the system has “disconnected” the mesh again. The Home app indicates all units are online and all of my devices have at least a “good” internet connection. I’m not sure what may have caused this continuing condition, I’ve done no configuration changes to my Google WiFi system. While it’s not ideal, I haven’t had time to dig further.

‘For now, I’ve turned off the indicator lights….LOL.

Hey, sorry, I've been working on other things. Yes I saw the previous posts. I think I figured it out....I had made a system change in another piece of my home network that was affecting the Google mesh. Once I reconfig'd that...all seems to be operating normally, i.e., mesh network tests good/great.

Thanx for the assist.
