Since installing Google nest to improve our Wifi, I am having connectivity issues. On a Teams meeting, I can see myself on camera on my screen, however other meeting users only see a flashing screen. I envisage this is a permissions issue? Can't find how to fix - please help!

Hi, Raz.
Sorry for the issues you've been having with your video conferencing. I'm sure that's quite frustrating to deal with. Let's get this fixed for you so you can get back to normal on your video calls.
One of the reasons why there might be performance issues is due to a setting on preferred activities. This can speed up or restrict network speeds to certain types of activities. Here's how to set video calling as a preferred activity for your network.
Turn on or off preferred activities
Preferred activities remain prioritized for your network until you turn them off.
If you don't have video calling set as a preferred activity, go ahead and turn it on. In some rare instances, disabling the option can also help, so try toggling it one way or the other to see how it impacts things. If you are still having issues after this, please come back and let me know. Thanks.

Hello Jeff
I am having problems with all cameras on all meeting products (Zoom, Teams, Skype, Webex) on all devices only since I installed a three-node Nest pack. I checked the box to make video-conferencing a priority. Are you saying I should un-check this box? The signal is strong but video-conferencing is impossible.
Thanks, John

Thank you! I have had Video conferencing prioritised. Found a way around it by by making my laptop a Priority device. Will also try unchecking the conferencing to see if that makes a difference. A bit annoying having to prioritise a device every day!

Hey, tierneyjohn.
Go ahead and try un-checking the box to see if it improves matters for you, yes. It seems counterproductive, but it has worked for some people in a few cases. Give it a try and see if it helps you out. Let me know if you continue to have issues afterwards.
Thanks.

Hello Jeff, I’m not sure if you saw my reply to Raz, but we’ve had some early success since I unchecked the video-conferencing priority. I’ll keep you posted if the fix lasts.
kind regards, John

This is exactly what happened to me @tierneyjohn - prioritising my device worked, am about to try unprioritising video conferencing - which seems counter intuitive!

Hello Raz,
it’s too soon to tell if it’s a full fix, but since I ‘unprioritised’ video-conferencing, we’ve had some initial success. Good luck.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
Thanks
