Move your Wi-Fi network to the Google Home app today

I would if I could! Nothing has worked, and I mean absolutely nothing. I can't access my account - my work uses google e-mail and I get switched to that. So I can't get a password send to my google e-mail because it goes to my UMich e-mail. When I try to access my google e-mail it wants to send me a code but won't send a code to my phone. I think I've gotten 3 separate e-mails about this and nothing has worked yet. I've unplugged, reset, asked for a password reset, unplugged, reset, asked for a password reset ... I'm afraid one day I just won't have wireless and will be more than a bit upset. Oh, I've also deleted and reinstalled the app, too. Even restarted my pholne! I have gotten nowhere so gave up. But I just got another e-mail message so I guess I should waste another hour trying to get this to work. UGH. And my location (whatever that is) is not nest but google wifi, but is Google wifi an option in the pull down menu? It is not.

Hey, ppwhite.
Sorry for the late response here, but I wanted to check in to see if you were still having this issue and to see if you have done any additional troubleshooting so far. If you still need help, let me know and I'll be happy to work on this with you.
Thanks.

Truthfully I gave up. Had someone leave so working 1 1/2 jobs and just haven't had the time to play with this although I did try a few more times. Figured if I lost my Google wifi I'd scream and then go to the xFinity store and get pods. Same issue - can't sign into Google e-mail because it goes to my UMich google e-mail and I still can't get a code sent to my phone # that I've had for however long we've had cell phones. 🙂 Thanks!

Sorry to hear we weren't able to sort that out for you, ppwhite.

Before I close up the thread, is there anything else I can do for you? Hopefully the new approach works out well for you.

Thanks.

I'm sorry, what new approach? Giving up on Google? I sure wish I could get someone who can fix this issue. I can't be the only person in the world. It would be nice to get someone who works for the company! Not you, but I have been playing with this for almost 6 weeks with no success and no recommendations on what to do. 😞

I think I misread, ppwhite.

So with the Google account that you're using, is it a standard Google account or is it a G Suite account? The latter won't work for use through Google Home and it might be where you're running into your issues.

Hi, ppwhite.

I want to keep the thread open if you still need help on this. Not sure if you saw the question I had about the Google Account type you were using. Any info on that?

Thanks.
