Need to downgrade my Google Wifi Ac1304

Hi Google,

 

Per topic, I need to downgrade the Google Wifi firmware as my QR code is no longer visible and the PSK not showing when I run the http://192.168.84.1/api/v1/status test.

 

It shows;

Firmware can't be upgraded or downgraded manually.

Is the unit factory reset ( https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6246619?hl=en ) and ready for setup ( https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6191584?hl=en )? Only then will it show the psk.

  • If light indicates that it's ready for setup, and you still don't see the psk, do tell in this thread.

Yes the unit has been reset and is pulsing blue, which means its ready to be connected.

However when I try to connect to my home network, as I do not have a QR code or set up code, I cannot continue.

I tried the http://192.168.84.1/api/v1/status test which does not show the psk.. and will only show it if it the older firmware..

any other suggestions?

No other suggestions. Sounds like a firmware issue. Which has happened to other users many times before. Sometimes Google replaces those units. I escalated the thread, it'a up to Google now.
